Bible Basics for 3rd Grade Families

Third grade is a time that children are beginning to really expand their understanding of faith and the world around them, and at the same time are moving into more solid reading skills. So our tradition at Christ Lutheran is to help families mark this growth with a Bible of the child's own, and a chance to stop and learn together about the Bible and how it brings God's living words of love to us.  Though our Sunday morning Together In Faith program is on "pandemic pause" this year, we do not want our Third Graders to miss out on this milestone.  So we will hold our "Bible Basics" class on Saturday, Feb 12, from 9:00-10:30am at CLC, with Bible Presentations to follow at either service Sunday, Feb 13.
What to bring:
* your 3rd grader
* at least one parent, grandparent, or other faithful adult - be prepared to share some of your questions/wonderings about the Bible, and a favorite Bible story or verse!
* a Bible that you will give your child (see below for suggestions and email pastorerica@clcvalpo.org if we can assist with the cost!)
